Youth Programs

The Town of Ithaca joins with other municipalities and Tompkins County in providing Youth Development Services and Training Programs including: Job Training, Apprenticeships, Sports, Arts & Crafts Camps, and other educational and recreational programs. These services are provided for the health and well being of our Youth. 

Many programs are under the umbrella of the the Joint Youth Commission and Recreation Partnership who oversee the entities who provide the services.

Joint Youth Commission (JYC)
Year round programs for Youth in Town of Caroline, Town of Ithaca, and Villages of Cayuga Heights and Lansing.

Recreation Partnership
A inter-municipal partnership that allows Youth to participate in a variety of recreational programs.

Cornell Cooperative Extension
Education Programs – Overseas many of our programs and offers a multitude of others

Coddington Road Community Center (CRCC)
Apprenticeships associate with Childcare, Youth, and Community Programs

Ithaca Youth Bureau
Recreation and Youth development programs

Learning Web
Youth Outreach, Career Exploration, Apprenticeships, and Community Service Program for middle school age to young adult.

Youth Entrepreneurship Market (YEM)
Training and encouraging youth in business

Cass Park
Green space featuring an ice rink, a swimming pool, athletic fields & playground.

Babe Ruth League
All about Baseball!  The League uses the town’s Valentino Field on Bostwick Rd which is a Little League standards field

Public Living Garden focused on preschoolers and young children exploring nature.
